
On October 28th, Professor Fabrizio Panozzo from Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia took part in the conference “Preserving and Enhancing the Shipyards of Venice: A Heritage of History, Traditions, and Knowledge.” The event was held at the Ateneo Veneto in Venice, where he delivered a presentation titled “Craftsmanship Ecosystems in Veneto and Venice: Embracing Tradition and Innovation.”
During his talk, he highlighted how contemporary art can serve as an inspiring tool, breathing life into underappreciated spaces and environments. He emphasized the need for reinvigorating the craft sector with a fresh perspective on skills and expertise within an urban, social, and cultural context. Additionally, the HEPHAESTUS project was introduced to an audience comprising artisans, industry professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders. The presentation covered the project’s objectives and its key planned initiatives.
