On December 12–13, 2025, HEPHAESTUS participated in the ACAB members-only Christmas market Jul På Hjorts, held at Hjorths Fabrik in Rønne, Bornholm, Denmark. The event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with local artists and craftspeople, while also serving as an effective platform for communicating the project directly to the public in a local and culturally rooted setting.
The market audience closely matched HEPHAESTUS’s core target group—people with a strong interest in Bornholm’s local craft culture and traditions—allowing for meaningful, in-depth conversations about the project’s goals, values, and relevance within the Danish island context. The location at Hjorths Fabrik further reinforced the connection between contemporary craft practices and Bornholm’s long-standing ceramic heritage.
Over the course of two days, the market attracted more than 1,000 visitors, significantly expanding the project’s public reach on Bornholm. The event demonstrated strong public interest in circular economy approaches, sustainable craftsmanship, and new ways of connecting local resources, creative production, and environmental responsibility in Denmark.
